Turn off the electricity to the circuit. Hold mounting bracket to the wall, level it, then mark the screw hole locations and where to bore a hole for the refrigeration lines, condensate discharge line and electrical cable. From inside, bore hole into the block wall with rotary hammer and 3-inch-diameter masonry coring bit. Once the bit’s pilot penetrates the wall, finish boring the hole from the outside. Screw the mounting bracket to the wall, making sure it’s level. Install the air-conditioning unit to the wall-mounted bracket. Pass the refrigeration lines and condensate discharge line through the hole in the wall. Attach a vertical chase directly below the hole in the exterior wall; the chase will house the refrigeration lines, condensate discharge line and electrical cable. Extend the condensate discharge line down to within a few inches of the ground by attaching a length of PVC pipe.

There are two types of electrical current in common use today: alternating current (AC), and direct current (DC). AC current is produced by all electric utilities. AC is very “flexible”. Its voltage can be easily stepped up or down by transformers. AC can be converted to DC for final use through rectifiers or .
Swamp Cooler Roof Installation The best time to rough in your swamp cooler wiring and water line for your new cooler is after the holes are cut through the roof and ceiling, but before the ductwork is installed. The attic will be relatively cool because of the natural ventilation of the heat exiting the roof. If the swamp cooler wiring can be done now without interfering with the ductwork installation, you will be a much happier Do-It-Yourselfer.
A degree attic with blown in insulation is not a pleasant place to be crawling around, pulling wires and water lines. The diagram to the left is a very typical rambler style one level home with a basement mechanical room. Your home may be configured differently, but you should still be able to adapt the basic wiring and water line configuration into your home. Routing Often the best route for your swamp cooler wiring and water line between mechanical room and the attic is the flue chase.
This is a very popular location for the wiring and water line, because the chase is accessible from both the basement or main level mech. Once you have roughed-in the wiring and water line to the attic, simply pull across them across the attic space to your roof jack next to the cooler.

These white face gauge inserts, are reminiscent of the white gauges found in the 94 and up Cobras. Of course the styling is a little more radical especially at night when the reverse glow feature comes into play. The term reverse glow refers to the actual face of the gauge themselves, as you can see here during the day the gauges are bright white, but at night or whenever your headlights are on, the white part remains dark but the numbers and letters glow in a very cool and easily readable blue light.
By day the gauge face is white with crisp clean markings, but by night the numbers glow bright blue, making these gauges both distinctive and easy to read. Installs Over Factory Gauges.

Swiss Army Knives Central Air Conditioning Icing Central air conditioning icing can be caused by low charge, restricted refrigerant flow, poor air flow, failed thermostat, failed controls, or a combination of these factors. First, make sure the thermostat is working, and that the cooling contacts open and the compressor stops when the temperature setting is satisfied. Make sure the compressor contactor is de-energized when the thermostat is not calling for cooling.
A failed thermostat, a wire in the wrong place, or a shorted wire, could keep the contactor energized and the compressor running while the evaporator fan is off, and cause central air conditioning icing problems. If the thermostat is working ok, check for air flow problems. Inspect the evaporator coil, and if it’s dirty, clean it thoroughly. If they’re dirty, clean or replace them. If the blower is dirty, clean it, verify that it’s the right size, and that it turns in the correct direction.
Check the blower motor, make sure it is running at the correct speed and in the correct direction.

As for the DC converter, if you are going to hook it up to the AC terminals, you dont need it. What you need is product , which is the turnout extension cord. This is use for when you have to make long distance runs with the wire. As for the one turnout plan, you realy dont need any of this if the turnout is close enough to where you can feel that you could operate it manualy the little black sliding thingy on the side of the turnout.

The conductors are arranged in a low inductance “star quad” geometry that is ideal for analog interconnects that need a self shielding fgeometry but don’t need a full shield , DC umbilical cables, and hookup wire from loudspeaker crossovers to tweeters and midrange drivers. At the core of the V-Quad Cu24 cable, natural cotton is used to buffer micro-vibrations.
The entire Star Quad bundle is then wrapped securely, with two layers of PTFE, to constrain inter-conductor micro-movements. The VH Audio V-Quad Cu24 is recommended for headphone cables, internal speaker crossover hookup wire tweets and mids , line-level analog interconnect applications, or signal hookup wire inside electronic components. The V-Quad Cu21 is ideal for DC umbilicals, internal speaker crossover hookup wire tweets and mids , line-level analog interconnect applications, or signal hookup wire inside electronic components.

Search General Motors temperature gauge troubleshooting Temperature gauge troubleshooting begins with isolating the problem either to the gauge, sending unit, fuse or wiring. As with any electrical troubleshooting it is best to check all wiring connections are clean, tight and free of corrosion. The first place to start is at the temperature-sending unit.
Remove the wire from the temperature-sending unit located on the engine typically a dark green wire. Then connect the wire to a good ground. You can do this by using a jumper wire. If the needle does not move, remove the same dark green wire from back of the gauge and connect a jumper from the terminal on the back of the gauge to a good ground. If it does not move, connect a test light by grounding one end to a good known ground and the other end to positive side of the gauge typically a pink wire.
If it does not illuminate, ensure the gas gauge fuse is good. If the fuse is good, connect a jumper wire between the ignition switch and the positive side of the gauge. If the gauge now works, replace the defective wiring between the gauge and the ignition switch. If the test light illuminates there is 12 volts present, replace the temperature gauge.
